DPD holds 1st Annual Memorial Walk, Run and Bike Ride

DETROIT – On Saturday, May 8, 2021, the Detroit Police Department kicked off Police Week 2021 with the first ever Annual Memorial Walk, Run and Bike Ride event. During the event, Department members honored the fallen officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the members lost to COVID-19.

National Police Week is a yearly collaborative effort of many organizations dedicated to honoring America’s law enforcement community. Every May, these organizations come together to recognize police officers around the country, including fallen and critically injured officers.
