Chief Craig swear in 20 new members of the Detroit Police Chaplain Corps.

On Saturday, September 26, 2020, Chief James E. Craig swore in 20 new members of the Detroit Police Chaplain Corps. The Detroit Police Departments Chaplain Corps members respond to critical incidents that impact Officers and families and are active at various community events, as well also serving in the Department’s After Care Program for citizens.

Detroit Police Chaplains also serve at Detroit Police Department Precincts to provide emotional and tangible support. The fall 2018 Class of Chaplain Corps completed eight weeks of Police training and underwent one year of probation before receiving their gold badges. Their journey to stand with the brave men and women of Detroit Police is now complete.
