DETROIT – On Monday, July 27, the Detroit Police Department reported the results of the continuing Concealed Weapon enforcement effort across the city. Through relentless work, the enforcement has resulted in an unprecedented numbers of illegal weapons recovered: 537 illegal firearms seized and 473 arrests for CCW from June 22 to July 19, plus additional 128 CCW arrests in the week ended July 26.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig thanked the officers for their hard work and dedication to taking these illegal weapons off the streets.
