FATAL & NON-FATAL SHOOTING

Preliminary on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at approximately ‪8:00 p.m. in the 3300 block of Joy Rd., two male victims (31 and 34-years old) were inside the location (dispensary) when three suspects entered announced a hold up then allegedly shot the victims, fatally wounding the 34-year old victim and critically injuring the other. After the shooting, the suspects took an undisclosed amount of merchandise (marijuana) from the location and fled in a black dually truck. The suspects were described three black males. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated. FATAL SHOOTING

Preliminary on February 20, 2020 at approximately ‪10 p.m. in the area of Varney and Ackley Street, the 19-year old male victim and witness were at the location when a physical altercation occurred between the witness and several unknown suspects. During the altercation, shots were fired, resulting in the victim being struck. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased. The suspects were described as Arabic males in their 20s, driving newer model cars with LED lights. No further information at this time. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated. FATAL SHOOTING

On Thursday, February 20, 2020 at approximately ‪11:00 p.m. in the 16000 block of E. 8 Mile Road, a 41-year old male victim was found inside the location, suffering from a fatal gunshot to the body. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated. Updated information will be provided once received. NON FATAL SHOOTING 

Preliminary on February 20, 2020 at approximately ‪10:00 p.m. in the 11400 block of Nottingham, the 13-year old male victim allegedly shot himself in the hand after mishandling a weapon he retrieved from his mother’s purse. The victim was transported to the hospital by Medic where he was treated and listed in stable condition. A silver semi-auto handgun was recovered. Child Abuse Section is involved and investigating. No arrest at this time. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
