Detroit Police honor long-time Detective Ira Todd

The Detroit Police Department bid farewell to Detective Ira Todd, who announced he is retiring after nearly 35 years of service. During the years he served the people of Detroit, he won numerous awards including Chief’s Unit and Merit. Detective Todd is most proud of the more than 100 confessions he got from homicide suspects and serial robbers, including suspects who shot and killed fellow officers. Thank you for your dedicated service and best wishes for your retirement, Detective Todd!
