Critical Ped. Accident
Preliminary on December 8, 2019 at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the area of E. 7 Mile Rd. and Gratiot, the two victims were crossing the street (white male, 30’s and black female, 24), when a vehicle hit the victims. The suspect, driving a white 2014 Kia Cadenza and described as a black male, 24, was pulled over after the accident and remained at the scene. The suspect was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. The male victim was listed in critical conditon. Female was listed in temp-serious condition. Carjacking
Preliminary on December 9, 2019 at approximately 12:45 a.m. in the area of E. 7 Mile Rd. and Ghoulbourn, the 71-year old male victim was turining into the gas station when the suspect approached on foot, produced a weapon, entered his vehicle through the passenger door and demanded his white 2013 Dodge Ram. He complied and the suspect escaped in his vehicle. No injuries were reported. Suspect described as a black male, 40’s, 6’1″, 200 lbs., dark complexion, wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, armed. Snatch and Grab (larceny)
Preliminary on December 9, 2019 at approximately 1:00 a.m. in the 5600 block of W. Vernor, unknown suspects used a blue 2003 vehicle van to gain entry into the local business. Once inside, the suspect stole merchandise and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The vehicle was left at the scene.
